I have another question about Wine. Dunno if the old answer still fully applies, and I don't mean this particular implementation this time, but with all the Linux features, should it be possible to TAS Wine application itself regardless of what the games are? I mean, once Wine is able to run some app, can Linux theoretically provide TAS tools to all such apps? Or maybe turn Wine itself into something capable, using Linux features?
I ask because Hourglass-Resurrection is now effectively dead as well (sorry if you only know it from me), and Linux TAS tools are gonna be the only chance for PC games. Well, unless we decide to install Windows on computer emulators and TAS that instead.

Межуровневый лаг сожрал часть обгона.
Этот уровень в сравнении с одной единственной комнатой 1-3 - ПОЛНАЯ ЛАФА. После босса посмотрю насчет второго захода.

Мерял по кадру сброса позиции. Намерял 87 кадров разницы, 36 кадров с моего прошлогоднего варианта.
В некоторых местах одной оптимизацией обгонял, в других из-за таймеров терял, в треьих из-за таймеров опять обгонял. Протестил все что мог, могу подробней рассказать по интересующим местам.
Ничего не хочу обещать, но выставил первый приоритет именно гаргульям. Вроде щас вообще ни в чем нету завалов:
- судить есть кому
- меймовский ревиндер в последнем релизе
- в бизхоке все тихо, да и багов вообще не нашел за эту сессию (что не дало мне продолжить сразу же год назад, а потом навалилась туева хуча всего)
- публиковать много ума не надо
- через 2 недели отпуск
На выдрочкускрипта потратил аж 3 дня.

As a person who introduced a few changes and came up with some new rules that keep working well, I can tell you that changing our system is VERY hard. It can be done, it costs tons of effort, but it should be something that needs to happen anyway, only then it can be done. You can not inject something that won't fly, but you will need to convince others that it will.

They key is reporting BIOS mismatch to the user. Usually it's done in the play movie dialog.

Based exactly on these remarks ThunderAxe31 and I come up with contradicting opinions.
One of the camps just states that the game itself (as a whole) should be evaluated. And they just check if the game can be played in real time if the math is literally blurred out. If it can not, "the game itself as a whole" has education as a primary element.
Another camp states that TASable gameplay of that game is what matters: optimization challenge makes it a non-trivial, serious game.
The problem is, neither comes from the rules, both are just ways to interpret it. I understand that if only 1 person among stuff cares about the second argument, and all the rest care about the first kind of interpretation, it's how democracy works, but rules that allow contradicting interpretations regardless of what arguments get posted are still not worded as clearly as they should be.

In complicated situations when I struggle to remain sane and when I look and feel like the one who failed something (and when other probably think I gave them up), I always become saner and calmer if I apologize to people that are probably angry at me, even if I'm doing everything right, even if I consider them to be wrong.

We don't require anyone to dump 3D games at 4K. But as long as there's someone who's always ready to invest tons of time into making the result look better than with any plugin alone, the users need to kinda respect the work that he's doing and avoid making it harder than it already is.
