This poll focuses on the current state of things. For now, it shows that the tag is not that significant and the clutter can be noticed. Probably the issue will be covered after some improvements to the movie module happen. But the main problem I have with it is logical redundancy.

I've just tried Pete's OpenGL GPU 1.78, aka OGL1. And it also does antialiasing. And it also has the source code. And it gives NO BLACK FUCKING FLASHES! You know what it means? That cutting out frames from the dump isn't needed! And we can antialias without any artifacts! Dumping BB2 at 1024x768 right now. http://www.pbernert.com/gpupeopsopengl178.zip EDIT: Found why it was crashing when loading from debug. That was causing it:
Language: lua

if(movieEnd == nil or movieEnd == 0) then movieEnd = getStatusDetectInfo()["MovieDuration"]; end
It never writes the value of movieEnd to the xml file. And still tries to read if from there.

Can it be just said as, without ACE it's impossible to jump to ending in this game? Like, it's only possible to skip to level end. Right?

Now this DOES look like a run to obsolete the existing one!

I personally doubt that tag is necessary. Either it's just a part of heavy glitches, or it's a part of major skips, or a game doesn't have a boss :D But what's the other way to know what's really deserving than making a new poll? There you go guys. http://tasvideos.org/Movies-C3042Y.html Which is included in http://tasvideos.org/Movies-C3041Y.html as of now. PS: post your thoughts about "Extreme resource management" as a possible new tag. It's obviously significant, since the level it's showcased here is mostly TAS-only, and it's also a great way to tell if a TAS is well-done. "Extreme resource management" is a sign of a good TASin taste :)

Yeah, so what about resource management?

What I'm saying is, skipping particular bosses is either part of major skip already, or part of heavy glitch abuse. We don't label all kinds of particular cases of glitch abuse. And again, look at how this movie module looks. http://tasvideos.org/2600M.html What I keep calling really significant to become a tag (like a TAS-only application in most cases) is resource management.

I agree that it's not needed to identify when looking at a run in isolation. However, say you want to search the site for all the runs where the final boss is never fought? Here you go: Wiki: Movies-C3042Y
And none of them has it as NOT part of a "major skip glitch"? Huh.

Zeupar, it seems the tags were already added. And they are "Major skip glitch" (which is perfect in my eyes), "Executes arbitrary code" (same thing) and "Final boss skip glitch" (has questions I posted above). http://tasvideos.org/MovieMaintenanceLog.html

This seems to need some coordination. If final boss is the only thing that's skipped, we do need that tag. If it's already included in the major skip, we don't need it. What is major skip at all? It's skipping majority of the game. Are there games where all the majority is AFTER the final boss? I don't think so. So it's either majority skipped, or only final boss, or nothing notable. Let's divide it like that, or some publications blow for having too many classes. EDIT: Trying to put it more clear. Boss skip alone is a minor skip. Heavy glitch abuse is a minor skip. If we already have major skip, we don't need to mention all the minor, relative skips. Why skipping final boss is more notable than skipping all but last? Than skipping only the first two? They all deserve a mention! Seriously though, since these all are relative, let's only use the mention of glitch abuse that is the biggest.

Since I already have the files with all hashes, tell me how to make it properly start reading the other one. For now, I tried changing math.floor(framecount / hashFrameSplit) to be +1, -1 and all that stuff, but it just starts reading the second file, thinking the current line is 100000. Do I just copypaste the contents to file 0?

Did I say that? O.O I wasn't planning to publish this run (in fact, I'm waiting for you to accept Superman >_>). Also, I'm more into other projects.
That's freaking perfect! Because I was delaying Superman until I get this run dumped :) Alright, will sync and accept it now then. EDIT: What res will you dump Superman at? Since it's a 3D game, you can use 342x256 to downscale to.

Кстати да, в фуллскрине катит смотреть только те что Modern HQ, они без блендинга пикселей и (почти) без артифактов движения. Если же нету такого энкода, запости прямо в теме по данной публикации реквест на HD ютубер, его проще всего сделать.

I support "major skip glitch" and "executes arbitrary code" movie tags. For skipping ONLY final boss, need more examples.
