Then why not make an alternative non-warning downloadable to go alongside it? (Obviously not a merged tracks one cause that would be 2 gigs). Why is this something that we didn't-- like decide to do some kind of workshopping on (referring to the positioning on the final)?

Cool. Topic that I'm interested in talking about now after both you and the Senior Publisher answered is being ignored for the later by you. Even though now I want to discuss about what's up with the downloadable now and how it could've be done for future Publication works. YouTube was the second thing I gave a way to tackle it, and you both answered it in a way, which I still have gripes (positioning can be improved, like I stated). The one that I'm more interested of is something I want more information for which is the downlaodables. Can we move on/away from that YouTube train?

I’ve already explained why soft subbing it wouldn’t help.
You did. For YouTube. You didn't for downloadables. Emphasis added.

I'm not answering your question when this bit was in regards to the downloadables, not the YouTube encode. YouTube I have a different mindset towards how to display information, and things like flashing/sound is a different taste to me. But downloadables could've been well "avoided" isn't the right word, but we'll use it here.

Not satisfied with the YouTube answer, but my option would still be to soft subtitle it so that's my stance for it. However, there's still things that could've been improved on which I did outline in regards to hard subbing it. I'm still going to question of the choice for hardsubs on the downloadable regardless, as that one has not been addressed and that's a different set of availability and usefulness, with the person's own player.

Why is the Loud Sound Warning hard subbed in the YouTube/Downloadable? For the downloadable you could've had a standard srt formatted file in the mp4 container and forced that to display where necessary. For the YouTube. Soft subtitles would've been an indicator, with the mentioning in the description indicating that they're incoming and visible in the CC's instead of being hard. Those that have this issue typically already have subtitles already displaying as well. Typically, not always. The extra thing is that the position of where it is, is something that Aegisub would complain as being part of the overscan area. So even if you have the good intentions, some displays won't be able to display your warning (for what it's worth this is a less modern problem).

Content warning: This movie contains flashing lights
Doesn't help that the author opt'd to do some of it themselves (question 69). Also would personally rather have seen a "perfect game/all questions" instead of "a bit crap". Meh vote.

I'm curious about a right stick for directional input for games that require constant touching of the button for aiming-- like Call of Duty.

Heavy Spiking of 213 frames from not skipping the Saturn bios, and cleaning up getting into the game... with an additional spiking of 1363 frames at the end. I know this is a score play. But Pearl please make sure you're getting in and out of the game quickly with the tools provided. The only reason why I looked into it in the first place is because of your complaints towards it being interlaced, and not providing an optional "Arcade Display" for Publications... Which I won't do either cause for a very short explanation, even when you have it in the correct rotation mode, and adjust for lags it will desync, and I really don't have the energy to do something like that. Abstained.

The submissions were made with the intention of being on the bench as long as possible due to figuring out things in regards to another submission as outlined in the text on this one. Delay can be done, but only if the Judge has a decision before then, but due to its ties they shouldn't until after a discussion between Judges about this hard fork created. I'll fix the submissions when the next release of GBAHawk comes out, Since the TASes were spawned from a lot of adjustments already in the first place (it started on an earlier version of BizHawk after all). Also there's no factor of RNG, as [this version] originated from BizHawk 2.9.1. So it doesn't call for a co-auth either, unless an improvement was found within.

Redid the entire matching sequence. Saved a frame (two frames because of a truncation error by the author). Requesting Co-auth.

You bring up Henry Stickmin, which is a good comparison because the chapters in that series are also separate games
Stickmin as the comparison was due to the fact they exhaust all endings from each title (bar the first).

Considering this is a single chapter in the entire book that's available... and extremely short in terms of time. We have preexisting TASes that do all available chapters. [3762] A2600 Private Eye by ViGadeomes in 29:52.99 [4553] GBC Déjà Vu I & II: The Casebooks of Ace Harding by Randil, Spikestuff in 18:55.39 [5520] Flash One Chance "all endings" by Spikestuff in 37:42.79 Henry Stickmin Hope to see a completed TAS in the future.

Likely there is around 10 frames to be saved on each boss fight with better timing on the shots.
Please also use the tools available to you such as the RAM Watch as it can show you the bosses' health. It can be used to plan around by doing things such as shooting the boss sooner than you expect and having better shot management.

Temp encode: Link to video Hello rqkaiju2 and Welcome to TASVideos. I apologize cause I want to break down everything about this TAS for you to see and develop for a future TAS. For strict speed: The shortest available song is [POPS] I REALLY WANT TO HURT YOU which clocks in at a 1:22. The shortest unlock song is [RAVE] e-motion a beatmania / DDR song clocking it at a 1:14. The author elects for these songs:
  • [POPS] I REALLY WANT TO HURT YOU - 1:22 / Level: 10
  • [DISCO QUEEN] what i want - 1:36 / Level: 22
  • [SPY] spicy piece - 1:32 / Level: 23
By a strict call on a Difficulty showcase in place of I REALLY WANT TO HURT YOU:
  • [DISCO KING] FUNKY TOWN '75 - 1:33 / Level: 22
  • [CLASSIC] Chaos Age - 1:58 / Level: 22 (Unlock & 2nd Chart)

And this section is for the other miscellaneous issues and advice on how to deal with each section:
  • The Konami logo can be skipped well before it's visible
  • You press Right 3 times for 9 button mode then you select it.
    • Left + Circle on the same frame
  • You presses down for hardest difficulty then you select it.
    • Down + Circle on the same frame
  • The author clears the screen before selecting the first song.
    • Direction + Circle/Start on the same frame.
  • You write out "TASS" as the name entry... it's "TAS"
  • Input overshoots past the credits where it should end at the name entry screen.
I wish you the best of luck with any future projects you decide to do rqkaiju2.

Given how often we've cut out entire communities based on decisions we've made or standards we follow (Super Mario 64 and Celeste come to mind immediately), the last thing I want is for that to happen again, so I guess the best question I can ask right now is this: Is there a breaking point? Is there something we are doing or have talked about doing that actually goes too far? Are we going to actively lose TASers and/or runs by sticking to separation? I can absolutely understand and accept disappointment and disagreement, but I refuse to cause explicit divides anymore.
I'm using the full quote because you explicitly mention two communities as a worry to contrast to for fighting games. The biggest detractor doesn't really matter that much when you consider the fact that if someone wants to showcase characters they would make a playaround of the title and do whatever they can to screw about. In a single character showcase. You either go for the fastest, or you showcase an "all characters" exhibition with each individuals speed and have that as an Alternative,,. or we lead into a discussion about a puddle relatively soon. In the way of the site's proposal, you showcase the fastest available unlock, and the fastest character after a game completion as long as their faster than the available. In the backhalf to your question I believe it falls back to what I said in my closing comments (I say expanding my other point which was originally in brackets):

Weird goal choice. As this isn't "any%" nor "all levels" instead it's some sort of hybrid.
